Here it is! The FINEST quality fuel rail available for the 3SGTE engine! (MR2 Turbo and Celica GT4) This rail will fit GEN2 3SGTE engines. The stock injectors on these cars are 440cc/min side (gallery) feed. Why switch to top feed? Top feed injectors are easier and cheaper to obtain in needed size, quality, and quantity. You will spend less and get more by purchasing this rail and a quality set of top-feed injectors, than you will by getting larger side feeds. (not to mention, the stock rail is not up to the task of supplying larger injectors than stock!) In building engines for our customers, we saw several top-feed rails from vendors for these cars... none of which we were willing to install due to poor engineering, poor machining, rust-prone hardware, and/or simply terrible looks. One rail actually CUT the injector O-rings as the injector was inserted because they had failed to properly chamfer the hole! Another had NPT taper threads on the inlet and outlet, and the wall thickness was so thin that the rail actually SPLIT when the fitting was tightened! Rails we saw had obscure adaptor cups to fit the injectors into the non-standard head opening of the 3SGTE, this means more tiny O-rings and potential leaks that scared me. Another negative part about these adaptors was that they brought the injectors farther away from the head, out of optimum spray pattern. This makes the rail very close to the intake manifold and difficult to install. The Speed-Source rail is different! It is precision machined from properly sized aluminum extrusion. The internal size is .675", or -08 hose size. The inlet and outlet are O-ring boss, which seals easily with an O-ring on the fitting, thus no pipe fittings to get loose or to goop sealant on. The mounting blocks are 6061 T-6 aluminum, and mount firmly with the included STAINLESS socket head. The holes for the injectors are chamfered perfectly for the injector O-rings, and the rail is relieved for the wiring connectors. Adaptors are included for -06 JIC hose fittings, but you can use -08 if you need the flow. All aluminum parts are beautifully black anodized for good looks and long life. But are you ready for the best part? Instead of small adaptors to mate the injectors to the head, we use a custom manufactured Viton square ring. We had these made to the exact size we needed, and so they fit like a glove! The rail kit includes the rail itself, 4 stainless cap screws, 2 mounting blocks, 4 Viton square rings, and 2 -06 ORB adaptors. It fits top-feed Denso/Bosch style injectors as used by Honda, Toyota, and Mitsubishi. It will NOT fit the GM/Ford style top-feed crap.
